According to online court records, Dakota Greeley recently entered guilty pleas to multiple murder charges, including murder of an unborn child.
Police arrested Greeley, in November of 2023, after he reportedly shot and killed his then-girlfriend, Trisha Renee Cole, along a road in Clover Township, Jefferson County.
Authorities say Greeley then reportedly opened fire on responding troopers before fleeing into a wooded area.
Police say that when he was taken into custody, Greeley allegedly admitted to shooting Cole, whose body was found with a gunshot wound to the head and a tire track over her body

A Punxsutawney man chose to plead guilty to the shooting death of his girlfriend in 2023, accepting two consecutive life sentences in the process.
Dakota Greeley, now 22, accepted the plea agreement July 17, to murder and the murder of an unborn child, nearly 20 months after the homicide of Trisha Cole Nov. 9, 2023. According to an update from state police, Greeley will serve two life terms consecutively and is ordered to pay fines and restitution.
State police were called to a residence the morning of Nov. 9, 2023, when a family member of Greeley’s claimed he had shot Cole and wished to die of “suicide by cop.
According to our previous coverage, troopers arrived to find Greeley and ordered him to freeze. Greeley then fired two shots at responding troopers before jumping into a truck and speeding off. A chase ensued, but didn’t last long. Greeley crashed into a wooded area and was taken into custody.
Investigators later revealed that Cole was found with a gunshot wound to the head and tire tracks over her body.
